On the same night that Blackpink’s Jennie celebrated the release of The Idol at the Cannes Film Festival, her bandmate Lisa was just miles away, fêting Celine and its artistic director Hedi Slimane at the fashion house’s intimate dinner at the famous Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc. The Celine ambassador brought ample sparkle to the evening, wearing a sequined pinstripe suit from the brand with a sheer black top under it. Her hair was styled down in waves, with her iconic bangs parted to the side.

Lisa shared a photo from the event on Instagram, writing, “Thank you @hedislimane @celine for a beautiful dinner 🖤”

The night brought together Celine’s global faces and VIP friends, including Taylor Swift’s ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn (in his first event post-split) and Kaia Gerber.

Lisa in particular was photographed with BTS’ V, Chinese actress Jingyi Zhang, and Korean actor Park Bo-gum, an all-star group. V first generated hype around his event appearance when he teased his arrival in Cannes on his Instagram Story. He posted a photo of the welcome note Celine left him. To the dinner, he wore an all-black suit, featuring a cropped blazer with a statement bow tie.

Lisa’s time spent with V is especially noteworthy, as V was filmed holding hands with her bandmate Jennie in Paris last week, sparking dating rumors. The K-pop stars’ respective agencies dodged addressing Jennie and V’s exact relationship shortly after. They told Sports Seoul (via Soompi), “It is difficult to check [regarding this matter on the artists’ private lives].”

Celine’s star-studded dinner was overall a celebration of the brand, Cannes fashion, and music, with a live performance by Jacob Slater of Wunderhorse serving as post-meal entertainment.
